Executive Committee members met afterwards regarding the contract drawn up by Mr. Carlton M. Sherwood, Executive Vice-President of Pierce, Hedrick and Sherwood and was read by Dr. R. N. Richardson.

He then describes the work required by him "to get things in shape for some one else to carry the work on".

McMichael, Placement Supervisor), Bureau of Probation and Parole, Columbus 15, Ohio, dated October 26, 1954. McMichael advises Subject 95040 of the approval of his release on parole and instructs him to report to Mr. T. N. Carswell.

McMichael, Placement Supervisor), Bureau of Probation and Parole, Columbus 15, Ohio, dated October 26, 1954. McMichael acknowledges receipt of the pre-parole investigation report regarding Inmate 95040 OP and advises of his pending release noting he has be instructed to report to Mr. T. N. Carswell.

A letter written to a parolee in El Paso, Texas, from T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Parole Board, dated December 26, 1956. Carswell acknowledges receipt of letter from Subject advising that the transfer has been completed and closes by offering his hope that Subject will be "better pleased" in El Paso.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Parole Board, from Vincent O'Leary, Director, Division of Parole Supervision, by John W. Walton, Supervisor, Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles, dated March 26, 1958. Walton apologizes to Carswell for the error in their letter regarding the reporting intervals required of Subject No. Calif. 17095. In addition to reporting in person every six months he requests that Subject make a written report each month.

A letter addressed to the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles, from T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Voluntary Parole Board, dated September 26, 1958. Carswell gives to the Board his recommendation for Subject to file an application for a full pardon and restoration.

A letter written to Governor Allan Shivers, Austin, Texas, from T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Parole Board, dated April 26, 1952. Carswell reports to Shivers concerning the background of Subject No. 121,140 explaining the value in the knowledge of the background of and gaining the respect, confidence and friendship of his parolees. He makes an appeal for Subject.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Parole Board, from Joseph G. Babich, Secretary, Governor's Office, Sacramento 14, California, dated June 26, 1953. Babich gives furthur instruction and explanation regarding an enclosed set of forms used in applying for executive clemency which were requested by Carswell for Subject A-9803.

A letter written to Mr. R. N. McMichael, Placement Supervisor, Ohio Penitentiary, from Richard H. Brooks, M. D., Medical Director, James Hospital, dated August 26, 1954. Brooks advises McMichael that the medical records of Inmate No. 95040 have been reviewed and has retained the "No Occupational Restrictions" classification given shortly after arrival at the penitentiary.

An Inter-Departmental Communication Memo from the California State Prison at Folsom, Represa, California (Robert A. Heinze, Warden) by W. J. Ryan, Associate Warden, to Fred Finsley, Chief State Parole Officer, Sacramento, California dated February 26, 1951 (copy to T. N. Carswell). Ryan advises Finsley of a letter written by Subject 9803-A and approved by T. N. Carswell in which Subject requests the return of his U. S. Postal Notes. Ryan advises of the transfer of the notes to the Bureau of Paroles, therefore, he refers the letter to Finsley's office for attention and disposition.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Justin A. Kever, District Attorney, San Angelo, Texas, dated May 26, 1961. Kever acknowledges the receipt of the "note" from Carswell advising of his retirement as chairman of the Parole Board in Taylor County.
