Davis states that he was assigned to help search the basement garage, and then he stopped traffic to allow the armored car to pull up to the basement ramp. After the shot was fired Davis was directed to assist in sealing off all exits to the building.

Dean states that he was assigned to search the garage portion of the basement in preparation for the transfer of Oswald. He describes the search of the basement and names of the other officers involved, and the questioning of Ruby after the shooting. Ruby stated to Dean that he entered the basement through the ramp entering on Main Street.

Hibbs states that after reporting to the basement he was told to take his shot gun from his car and place it in a squad car. He was then directed to take a post at the basement ramp and states that for his time there no vehicles or people came down the ramp. He states that he then was assigned to a traffic corner and later reported to Parkland Hospital after the shooting.
