Interview with Albert Grubbs, Jr. from Dawson, Texas concerning his experiences while employed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during the Great Depression as well as his childhood and his experiences leading up to joining the CCC. Grubbs worked at camps in Lubbock, Texas (Company 3820) and Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Interview with Betty Kimble, an employee of Texas Instruments and community activist from Denton, Texas. Kimble discusses her education and family, growing up in Denton, the relocation of Quakertown and the development of new black neighborhoods, changing demographics and current issues, and community action in Southeast Denton. In appendix is a photo of the Denton County Courthouse, the Confederate Memorial, and a picture of students and teachers at the Fred Moore School in the 1930s or 40s, as identified in the interview by Mrs. Kimble.

In the interview, Mohair discusses her experiences concerning the activities of the Denton Christian Women's Inter-Racial Fellowship during the 1960s and 1970s. He also talks about his personal views on issues such as Proposition 13 in California, treasury surplus, the repeal of sales tax on residential utility bills, the increase in inheritance tax exemptions, taxation of agricultural and timber land, initiative-referendum, the Peveto Bill, the formation of the "Filthy Fifty", the Sam Houston Caucus, and the House Study Group. Allred also comments on Governor Dolph Briscoe, Speaker Bill Clayton, and Lieutenant Governor Bill Hobby

This interview covers his childhood, his experiences in the Great Depression, his experiences as a hospital orderly in the CCC, and his biggest takeaways from working in the CCC.
