The guest of honor at the installation ceremonies was Dr. Carlos C. Castaneda of the University of Texas.

Western Union telegram from Mrs. L. S. Rodriguez, Secretary, to John J. Herrera dated March 25, 1949. This was to advise Herrera that Mr. Cortez was in the hospital and unable to attend the meeting on March 27, probably the installation ceremonies for the Houston Junior LULACS.

This is a call for a Regional Convention to be held in Corpus Christi on January 28 and 29, 1950. It also contains requests for monthly reports, plans for local Christmas programs, and meeting dates of local councils.

Letter from Bob Cruz, LULAC Texas Regional Governor, to all Texas Councils of LULAC dated November 25, 1949. This is a notification of the upcoming Regional Convention to be held in Corpus Christi, Texas, on January 28 and 29, 1950. Cruz asks for hotel reservation requests, resolutions and recommendations to be presented, and monthly reports of local council activities. On the reverse side of this letter is a typed draft of a telegram from John J. Herrera, Acting Texas Regional LULAC Governor, asking for a program of the convention and conveying hotel reservation requests.

Poster advertisement of a baseball grand tournament to be played beginning August 25, 1940 at the Cleveland Diamond field, Houston, Texas. The tournament is offered by the "Aces Fours Recreational Club" called the Latin American Baseball tournament. The first team to play is Aztecas vs. Sugarland, starting at 10 a.m. ; the second team is Port Arthur vs. Southern Select playing at 1:45 p.m.; the third team is Galveston 'Blue Moon' vs. New Gulf Tigers, playing at 4:00 p.m. The entrance fee is 33 cents.

Photograph of a group of people standing close together on the front steps of Danevang Community Hall. According to accompanying information, they are at the wedding of Martin and Lizzie Christiansen, who possibly could be the two individuals pictured in the center with the large bouquet of flowers. Other names have been provided, but they have not been matched to any one individual. The community hall behind them is a large two-story structure with horizontal siding and several windows. An open entryway can be seen far left.

Letter from Dr. Bodansky to Anheuser-Busch, Inc. asking for a pound of yeast concentrate in order to perform experiments similar to those conducted by Welch and Welch.

Letters between Marguerite Stadelhofer, the Production Editor of the C. V. Mosby Company, and Dr. Meyer Bodansky. The first letter, which is from Ms. Stadelhofer, is dated September 25, 1940. It is addressed to Dr. Herman L. Gardner, and informs him that the collaborative article that he wrote with Dr. Levine and Dr. Bodansky is published in a current issue of "the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology". The letter includes a quote on reprints of the article. The first letter, which is from Dr. Meyer Bodansky and dated October 7, 1940, is a response to Ms. Stadelhofer's previous letter on behalf of Dr. Gardener. Dr. Bodansky states that he would like to order 400 total reprints, and requests that 200 of them be sent to Dr. Gardner.

Letters to Dr. John W. Spies informing him that Dr. Meyer Bodansky, who is in the hospital, is recovering slowly yet surely. The first note, which is typed, is dated May 30, 1941 and signed with the initials "BG". The second note, which is handwritten, is dated May 25, 1941 and signed with the initials "E.L.H.".

Letter from Dr. Bodansky to Benjamin R. Harris informing him of four possible titles that represent the proposed fat metabolism research given by The Emulsol Corporation and how the grant given by them was placed in a fund which Dr. Bodansky draws from for research purposes.

Letter from Dr. Oscar Bodansky to Eleanor Bodansky, the widow of Dr. Meyer Bodansky, covering some concerns Eleanor has voiced about a contract to publish a fifth edition of her late husband's textbook. As Meyer Bodansky's surviving family, the two are discussing issues involved in the contractual agreement they have already signed.
