Photograph used for a story in the Daily Oklahoman newspaper. Caption: "This aerial view picture shows what most motorists fail to see when driving past Clyde Shepard's farm on NW 23. The L-shaped tract of land, potentially some of the most desirable homesites in the city, consists of two lakes, trees, and nearly 80 acres of unused ground. The tract is bounded by NW23 on the south and, NW 30 on the north, Villa on the west and Pennsylvania on the east. Once favorite swimming holes of city residents, the two lakes still are favorite fishing spots of small fry to paddle around on homemade rafts."

Photograph used for a story in the Daily Oklahoman newspaper. Caption: "These aerial pictures tell the story of Woodwards rebuilding. The upper left quarter of both veiws show the section hardest hit by the wind. Above: the area is dotted with new houses, and business buildings in the foreground are of the latest design and construction. In the picture at the right, taken early on the morning of April 10, 1947, the destruction is clearly shown. Nearly 100 blocks were swept by the storm. Not one hosue or business buildiong shown here escaped the force of the wind. About 80 percent of all casualties in the storm were taken from this northwest section of town. It bore the brunt of the wind's fury, but death, injury and damage resulted in every section."

Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "All this business about how many tons of TNT it takes to do the damage of an H-Bomb leave you a lttle bewildered? Here's a combination phot-drawing based on the 1952-model bomb that might clear matters a little. The bombsight cross hairs, in center photo are over the heart of Oklahoma City's business district. The 3-mile total destruction area would then reach from the old fairgrounds on the east to the new fairgrounds on the west and from NW 36 to Capitol Hill highschool. The rest of the drawing is self-explanatory. The bomb causes severe-to-moderate damage as far as seven miles from the bomb, and light damage as far as 10 miles away. One of the bombs tested last month was reported to be three times more powerful than the 1952 version."
