Miss Norma Jean Diehl, 3339 N Walker, was driving the car at right which was involved in a collision with the overturned car driven by Carlton Elbert Brock, 811 NW 43. Both suffered bruises but neither required first aid. Explained Miss Diehl to police after the accident: "I'm getting married tomorrow and I guess I'm just too jittery to be driving a car."

Photograph is of a metal structure completely consumed by flames with a large fireball rising around every bit of the structure. The interior of the structure is completely consumed with fire too. The remains are seen in silhouette and wrapped in fire. Caption: "A three-hour fire which burned out of control for a short time completely gutted the elevator and warehouse of the Chic-o-line Feet Company here Monday night. No one was injured although several red-hot sheets of tin fell from the roof close to a crowd of over five-hundred onlookers."

Javita Traynor, 16, of Fairmont, the driver, suffered a broken wrist, broken shoulder and severe lacerations. Diane Soucek, 14, Enid, daughter of Lieut. Ormus Soucek, commander of the Will Rogers turnpike patrol detachment, suffered a broken collarbone. Sharol Rill, 16, also of Enid, suffered a broken pelvis. All three were taken to Enid General hospital."

Caption: "WOMAN IS INJURED AS TRAIN HITS CAR, A Santa Fe freight train smashed into this stalled automobile at SE 29 and Shields Monday morning, injuring Mrs. Oda May Hardin, a passenger in the car. The driver, Earl Mays, 61, of 1400 SE 30, Leaped to safety just before the train hit the vehicle. Mrs. Hardin, who wasn't so agile, was trapped inside the car as the train smashed into it and dragged it 77 feet across the intersection. At Capital Hill hospital, Mrs. Hardin was being treated for a broken leg and shoulder injuries. Mrs. Hardin, 60, lives at 1419 SE 31. She is shown at right with Mrs. A. L. Messic, nurse."
