Photograph of land plowed in preparation for fall seeding. This operation of pulling a section harrow over land further reduces the size of clods, increasing the wind erosion hazards. Too much tillage is a problem that must be overcome in combatting wind erosion. Ted Lehman, WUC [Water Usage and Conservation] of Beaver, Oklahoma, says this is the "powder keg for blowing."
