The answer will then be used "to help stimulate an Americanism Revival comparable in results to the periods of the Revolution, the Making of the Constitution, and the Civil War" stressing that the country's destiny depends on these answers. A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from W. R. White, President, Hardin-Simmons University dated November 25, 1941. White expresses his appreciation for the selection and direction of ushers by Carswell during the Convention.

A letter addressed to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from O. B. Raburn, Treas., Raburn Grocery and Market, Wellington, Texas, dated November 25, 1942. Raburn advises Carswell of an attached check to help cover some of his expense and that they enjoyed his helpful message.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Andrew Dilworth, Law Offices, San Antonio 5, Texas, dated November 25, 1944. Dilworth discusses the question of whether the appropriation for Danforth's campaign is a legitimate expense such as may be authorized by action of the Department Executive Committee. He advises that Carswell is rendering the Legionnaires a real service by bringing the matter to their attention. Dilworth confirms that this issue is turning out as both he and Carswell prophesied. Dilworth compares this appropriation of funds stating, "Any one who would introduce a measure in the legislature of Texas to appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of electing Coke Stevenson President of the United States would so shock the public conscience that he would be adjudged a lunatic. Yet that is exactly what the Department Executive Committee of the Texas Department is doing."

Notation handwritten by Carswell at the top of page advising of check for five dollars having been mailed on December 23, 1946.

A letter addressed to Mr. T. N. Carswell, from Mrs. Hattie Breeding, Dallas, Texas dated November 25, 1953. Breeding requests that Carswell do what he can to secure the release of Subject 108,345 from prison prior to February.

A letter written to Hon. Brooks Hays, Assistant Secretary of State, Washington, D. C. from T. N. Carswell, dated November 25, 1961. Carswell advises of his privilege to have heard both of the addresses given by Hays during his visit to Abilene and requests a copy of the poem, written by an Australian World War II pilot, that he used at the Hardin-Simmons University address.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Lyle Thoburn, President, The Bowman Products Company, Cleveland, Ohio 44101, dated November 25, 1964. Thoburn advises of his agreement with Carswell that it was regretful Bob Taft was not elected instead of Johnson. He adds that it is of interest that Carswell's father and uncle and Thoburn's grandfather were all wounded in the battle of Franklin, Tennessee.

A letter addressed to Miss Janice Fogle and Mr. Ronnie Fogle from T. N. Carswell ,dated November 25, 1967. Carswell expresses his appreciation for their friendship and for the coconut cake assuring them that Mrs. Carswell and he enjoyed it. He advises of his friendship with their parents and grandparents, offers a bit of philosophy and wisdom and then wishes happiness and success for "big sister" and them and a Merry Christmas.

A letter written to Nora Whiting from Byrdie Carswell, typed by T. N. Carswell, dated November 25, 1968. Byrdie recounts her life-long appreciation and love for Nora, her older sister; of Nora's and Milton's love for her continuing after they married; their continued love after she and Tommy married; their contribution to Peg "in love and lifelong direction that has enriched her life". She advises that she and Tommy were glad that Nora sounded better the last time they talked to her. Hand written postscript expresses gladness to have Peg come & see them - even for a day.

A letter written to Omar from T. N. Carswell, dated November 25, 1970. Carswell requests a personal favor of six tickets for the Cotton Bowl Game reminding him that he did this some years ago and assuring Burleson that he is under no obligation to repeat but that it would be appreciated. He advises of his approval of Omar's recent political, written "releases". A note handwritten by Carswell states that the tickets are for personal use, not for resale. The reverse side includes business letterhead of Little Tuffy Mfg. Co. A Division of Abilene Machine Co., 1342 Pine Street, Abilene, Texas and bears Assurance Opaque Parchment watermark.
