Postcard of the soldiers of Section "B" marching on a dirt road at Camp MacArthur in Waco, Texas. A handwritten note on the back of the postcard is addressed to Mr. William Jennings in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and says, "Dear friend, This is [?] life down here and I like it better every day. Am at present (acting) corporal while in the detention camp. Will be assigned to my squad or company when I get out of quarantine. Roland A Bosler. Aviation Camp, Waco, Texas."

Postcard from J. P. Eagan to George Pendexter describing the vehicle in the reverse-side picture; according to Eagan the vehicle and crew are apart of the #2 Salvage Corps in St. Louis. The photograph shows a fireman sitting on top of the horse-drawn fire wagon with an alarm bell behind him and a ladder in the bed. This wagon takes too horses to pull it and it has an inscription on the side that reads "Salvage Corps No. 2."

Postcard of uniformed fire fighters at a table, playing a card game. On the back of the postcard, the sender has left a handwritten message that says, "Dear Sir, your card rec. Am short on cards just now, but will send you some soon. [...]"

Postcard from Gus Brown to George Pendexter thanking George for sending him cards of the truck in Dallas, Texas and discussing the recent snow storm. The photograph on the reverse side shows one of the horse-drawn fire wagons, parked in front of the fire station, used by the Springfield Fire Department in Springfield, Ohio; this wagon is being pulled by two horses with two firemen in the driver's seat. There are also two firemen standing on the back of the wagon on the far right of the picture.

Postcard of Fort Worth's Central Fire Station, a two-story stone building with a tower that extends an additional two stories. Horse-drawn carriages are passing by through the street. The back of the postcard has a handwritten message from the sender, A. Miller.

Postcard from J. P. Eagan to George Pendexter describing the fire he had been fighting at a building at "Broadway and Cass Ave." The photograph shows the "#12 Engine" fighting the fire taking place at an auto store. There is snow on the streets as Eagan notes the weather is cold and foggy.

Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter describing a recent fire that took place catching multiple buildings on fire and causing around $45,000 in damage. The photograph on the reverse side shows the Battle Creek Fire Department riding through the street during the July 4, 1912 parade. The carriage in the center of the picture is holding a number of ladders on the back end; there are four firemen standing on the carriage as it rolls down the street. A lot of the people in the crowd are holding umbrellas to protect from the sunshine.

Postcard of rows of tents at Camp MacArthur in Waco, Texas. A note on the front of the postcard says "Co. C, 127th Infantry." A handwritten note on the back, which is addressed to Mrs. J. A. Miller in Shulane, Illinois, says "Dear Mother, We are still sailing on. It is about 9:30 and time to go to bed. Am well and alright and hope you the same. Some where in Kansas, Son Clare."

Thanksgiving postcard sent to Mamie Collins from Leda Bahl with an illustration of a turkey pulling a cart with a chef riding on a pumpkin and holding a large knife and fork. There is a lengthy note written on the back of the card from Bahl that reads, in part: "Wish it was mine or I had one like it. Harry is always taking somebody there to..."
