A handwritten note on the back of the postcard is addressed to Mr. William Jennings in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and says, "Dear friend, This is [?] life down here and I like it better every day. Am at present (acting) corporal while in the detention camp. Will be assigned to my squad or company when I get out of quarantine. Roland A Bosler. Aviation Camp, Waco, Texas."

Postcard from Gus Brown to George Pendexter thanking George for sending him cards of the truck in Dallas, Texas and discussing the recent snow storm. The photograph on the reverse side shows one of the horse-drawn fire wagons, parked in front of the fire station, used by the Springfield Fire Department in Springfield, Ohio; this wagon is being pulled by two horses with two firemen in the driver's seat. There are also two firemen standing on the back of the wagon on the far right of the picture.

Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter describing a recent fire that took place catching multiple buildings on fire and causing around $45,000 in damage. The photograph on the reverse side shows the Battle Creek Fire Department riding through the street during the July 4, 1912 parade. The carriage in the center of the picture is holding a number of ladders on the back end; there are four firemen standing on the carriage as it rolls down the street. A lot of the people in the crowd are holding umbrellas to protect from the sunshine.

Below the description, the word "Sister" is written, and the postcard is addressed to "Miss Mamie McFaddin 1906 McFadddin Ave. Beaumont, Tex."

A note is written below the picture, and it reads, "Here all OK in Cinn. Had a miserable trip but are all OK now. It's warm here." The postcard is addressed to "Mrs. N. P. H. McFaddin 1906 McFaddin Ave Beaumont, Texas."
