He expresses regret at not being home for dove season, and asks that his parents not send candy if they send him a Christmas box.

It is signed "Miss Sallie." It has purple flowers on the front, as well as the words "Birthday Greetings to You."

A."

The front of the postcard depicts an open gated entrance into Courtlandt Place, an upscale suburban neighborhood with stone walls along the sides of the neighborhood and gas lamps atop the walls' pillars. Large two-story suburban homes are visible along the paved boulevard. The caption reads "Entrance to Courtland [sic], exclusive residential district, Houston, Texas."

Postcard of the Infantry Replacement Band, a large group of soldiers holding instruments, at Camp MacArthur in Waco, Texas. A handwritten note in Italian on the back of the postcard is addressed to "Al caro amico E. Marino" in Kansas City, Missouri and says, "Questa è la band dove appartengo. Sí puo trovarmi?
