A letter written to Dr. Criswell from T. N. Carswell, dated September 24, 1960. Carswell advises Criswell that having heard him preach in Dallas on Religious Freedom he is inviting him to speak at the worker's conference of the Callahan Baptist Association in Eula, Texas or under another sponsorship in Abilene, Texas. He advises that one of his deacons, H. J. Blackwell, and he attended Simmons and both enlisted in the Navy, World War I, about the same date.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from James Basden, Secretary, Human Welfare Commission, Dallas 1, Texas dated May 24, 1963. Basden expresses his appreciation for the nice letter and for the quotation given to him by Carswell. He advises of his plans to use it in a speech.

A Western Union telegram sent to Dr. Jesse Northcut First Baptist Church, Abilene, Texas, from Walter H. McKenzie, Dallas, Texas, dated June 24, 1949. McKenzie requests of Northcut to send telegrams immediately to his representatives in Austin urging that they "kill" the Vicks Senate amendment to House Bill 84. McKenzie asks Northcut to encourage others to send telegrams. The reverse side includes answer written by TNC [T. N. Carswell] dated June 27, 1949; "To require L. B. [Liquor Board] to face license in court with evidence before cancellation of license. Seems but fair - hence ranks encouraged Tippen to favor."

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Jeff Davis, Executive Secretary, United Texas Drys, dated February 24, 1942. Davis lists potential speakers for the Abilene field day suggesting that Carswell might secure Dr. White and a speaker from McMurry or ACC. He advises that Bishop Boaz has already agreed noting that last year Bro. Douglas Carver had requested Boaz.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas,, from Jeff Davis, Executive Secretary, United Texas Drys, dated February 24, 1943. Davis advises of the date set for the San Angelo field day to be in late March, that the date is a result of the current Wichita County work. He touts the Rio Grande Valley trip as his most profitable. Davis advises Carswell that he will write P. D. O'Brien but is unsure of success there noting that O'Brien has a hard situation in his church stating, "they have been able to intimidate every pastor they have had".

A letter written to Horace J. Blackwell, Dallas, Texas from T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, dated July 24, 1949. Carswell appeals "as a friend in need of aid" requesting Blackwell's help to find employment for Peggy in Dallas without her knowing that he has asked for help.
