[Postcard with a Photo of the Owosso, Michigan Fire Department]

Postcard addressed to George Pendexter with a photograph of company #1 in the Owosso Fire Department. There are two horse-drawn fire wagons on either side of the picture, the one on the left is loaded with ladders and the one on the right appears to have a steamer engine in the back of it. There are also six firemen photographed, two are seated on either wagon while the other four are standing in between the two wagons.

Postcard with five images of fire chiefs in automobiles on its front. The center image is labeled with "chief", and the surrounding images are labeled with "asst. chief." On the back of the postcard, the sender has left a handwritten message that says, "I will start with our chiefs, a very nice view card, then will go on to all of our new style Fire Department. I have ordered a lot, but they have not arrived yet. Be here in a few days. We have not any big where they could get the pictures of the departments [...]"

Postcard addressed to George Pendexter with a note on the back noting that this is the only photo of this car. There are two firemen sitting in the front seat of the truck, and four other firemen are standing over by the garage entrance; there is a label on the side of the truck's engine reading "Chemical Engine W. F. D." There are children standing over by the right side of the car.

Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter mentioning a recent fire that took place by a drug store and restaurant; Johnston says this took place "across the street from the Parker fire" that he had sent a card of in the past. The photograph shows the ruins of a building in Bellevue, Michigan after having been destroyed by a fire in December 1911; the only thing left is a pile of rubble and dirt.

Postcard of a fire at Portland City Hall. The flames have spread through the building's upper floors and the neighboring building on the left. Icicles are visible on the side of the city hall and part of a smaller neighboring building on its left. People in brown coats are visible in the street, and long hoses are running along the ground. On the back of the postcard, a handwritten message says, "Excuse delay - but I have been unable to find any fire department cards. This was the nearest I could come to it. Would be pleased to send you other kinds of card views - buildings, etc. if you wish. Many thanks for card sent - Edna Griffin."
