Bettie and her mother went to town and got two dresses. Old Pros is working with Old Kit's colt for seventeen days. Mollie Loves' baby had a cold and Alice Donnell wants to see the author's sister. The author is going to make a dress and suit for a wedding between Dock D. and Miss Fallen. Bettie is pregnant with Abe's child. Willie has a brief letter to his aunt about jackets and going to the show next week. Mr. Wilson has land in Ellis County. There is also a letter to Mr. Moore from W. H. McGee. Henry's eyes are bad so McGee is writing for him. There has been a bid on his land and he is considering moving to Texas if he could get some cheap land in Mr. Moore's neighborhood. Henry hopes to write himself next time.

He says that they haven't heard from them in a while and were happy to hear that they were doing well. Mary was expecting $100 from her uncle Same Wallace's estate. He is sorry that the estate is going to the courts to be settled. He has had a cold for the past three weeks and hopes he is almost over it. He mentions that all of the relatives are well and there have been five deaths in the city. He mentions that the roads aren't good and they have started plowing oats. J. Knox Smith has consumption. He says the wheat looks well considering the problems they had in the fall. They have had hay, corn, oats, and bran delivered to the county for home demands. He has irish potatoes from Ireland and Scotland on sale. He asks that they write soon and sends his regards.

She closes the letter and sends her love to Linnet. In Lula's next letter, written on Tuesday night April 25, 1899, she details that she hope Linnet is doing well. She notes she finished working on her wrapper and read Linnet's most recent letter. She closes the Tuesday's letter and continue to write on the same page, beginning a letter on Wednesday April 26, 1899. She informs Linnet of the happening since she last wrote and notes she has written a letter to Mr. Taylor. She mentions the situation about Jim's letter and assures Linnet she had not part in the letter. She states that she wishes she could see Linnet and talk about the situation. She continues the letter by noting community deaths and news.

Letter from Ben Ledbetter to Linnet Moore in which he says he enjoyed the Sunday he spent at her home. He wished he had received an answer to his previous letter. Then he announces that he will be near her on a business trip and would like to see her again.

Letter from Claude White to Linnet in which he says that he has visited with Mrs. Williams. He thinks Mrs. Williams and her daughter will be good company for Linnet. Claude tell Linnet that they will live in the "nicest part of town." He also gives details of his plans for the upcoming move.

This is a document from the Charles B. Moore Collection. It is a telegram to Claude D. White from Eustace E> King. In the telegram, King informs White that he has received the check from White and thanks him for the money. He also notes that he has ordered marriage certificates and will send Linnet the prettiest one when they arrive. He closes the message by sending love and best wishes to them both. King's name card which details the schedule of services, his church's name, and four bible verses is included with the telegram. The envelope the telegram and the card was sent in is included.

Letter from Lillian Griffin to Mary Moore in which she lists the members of the family and if they are well or not; the types and numbers of the farm animals; and her family's pets. She says her father was kicked in the knee by a horse.

Notice regarding the death of A. R. Franklin, who died November 23, 1906. The funeral was held November 24th at the grave side, officiated by Rev. R. M. DuBose; he was buried at Gallatin Cemetery in Gallatin, Tennessee. The notice also includes the list of pall bearers.
