The project is sponsored by the Dallas Citizens' Interracial Association and their aim was to build 700 new homes as well as to improve the living conditions for the residents of Hamilton Park. Although the newly built homes will only serve a fraction of the residents, it is the start of overcoming the obstacles of the housing crisis.
