The convention would host the election of District Governor for District Eight and would have in attendance: Frank Pinedo, Felix Tijerina, Alfred Hernandez and John J. Herrera.

Photograph of the front of an old light wood building surrounded with plant overgrowth. The building is facing toward the lefthand side, and has a crude fence made of thick branches encircling the right side. The entrance consists of closed double doors, an awning above, and stairs leading up to a small landing in front of the doors. The roof of another building is visible next to this building on the other side of a fence. The front yard of the building is sparse grass and a thin dirt pathway. There is a dirt road in front of the building. On the righthand side next to the fence, there are two large trees and shrubs. Handwriting on the back of the photograph reads, "Lockhart". There is an upside-down stamp also on the back that indicates the publisher and publication date and city.
