Kingsley discusses his upbringing, joining the Guard, the Louisiana Maneuvers, deployment to New Caledonia, his troop's machine gun section/platoon, Woodlark Island, the Battle of Arawe, New Guinea and the Battle of Drinumor River, the Battles of Leyte and Luzon, his thoughts on the generals he served, and thoughts on the 112th.

Interview with Steven Atikinson, a LGBT rights activist from Keller, Texas. Atkinson discusses his childhood in Keller, growing up in a small conservative town, coming to terms with his sexuality, education at Baylor, his brief marriage, coming out, the HIV-AIDS epidemic, the Dallas Gay and Lesbian Alliance, the queer social scene in Dallas in the 1990s, discrimination, grassroots activism, direct action, lobbying, the growth of the Dallas LGBT community and resources, gay rights legislation, and thoughts on his life overall.

Interview with Roy Eschmann, a Army WWII veteran from Dallas, Texas who was present at the attack on Pearl Harbor. Eschmann discusses joining the Army, basic training, assignment to Schofield Barracks and the 25th Infantry Division, his duties and daily life, Japanese friends on Hawaii, preparation for war, guard duty on the night of December 6/7th, the morning of the attack and shooting at Japanese aircraft, patrols afterwards and fear of invasion, rumors, and later service.

Interview with A. W. Dupree Jr., resident of Hamilton Park neighborhood in Dallas, Texas, 1966-90. Dupree discusses his youth in Dallas; service in U.S. military in World War II; musical career; decision to buy home in Hamilton Park and experiences as a resident; home improvements; church activities; desegregation of Hamilton Park School; Pacesetter; commercial encroachment; the “Buy Out.”

Interview with Lloyd Shipman, a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps from Dallas, Texas. Shipman discusses his family and education, the impact of the Great Depression, joining the CCC and assignment to Bartlett, Texas, work as a typist, discipline and regimentation in the camp, daily routine, education services, recreation, and his thoughts on the impact of the CCC. In appendix are a chapter from an autobiography by Shipman, and two poems that he wrote.
