Photograph of a Dallas Fire Department firefighter looking on as a tall cloud of smoke billows from the top of the Edson of Texas pillow factory building. The firefighter is wearing a long jacket and standing on a fire engine that is parked facing left. The source of the smoke is somewhere on the roof of the brick building, however, smaller plumes of smoke rise from one of the windows. Partially obscured by the fire engine, another firefighter stands at the bottom of a ladder propped against the side of the building. An electrical pole and power lines - which are connected to the building - are visible between the building and the fire engine. On the back of the photograph are stamps, handwritten text, and a portion of a label giving information about the photograph.
