Lawrence states that he left the Texaco Building where he worked with Phil Hathaway and other coworkers to see the President in the parade. He describes seeing a large man, estimated to be around 6'5" and 250 pounds or more, wearing a business suit and carrying a rifle.

Mercer states that she saw a truck on the side of the entrance road to the overpass. There was a man pulling out a gun case from the back of the truck who proceeded to walk away.
