UNT professor offers expertise on Barnes collection
A newspaper clipping featuring an article on Dr. William McCarter, Regents Professor at the University of North Texas, giving a lecture on art collector Albert C. Barnes. McCarter's lecture, "Dr. Albert C. Barnes: The Education of an Educator," will discuss Barnes as an art collector and artist as Barnes began collecting paintings. Purchasing works by Paul Cezanne, Claude Monet, Pierre-August Renoir and Edouard Manet, which at the time the art establishment called junk. The lecture is in conjunction with an art exhibition shown at the Kimbell Art Museum of Fort Worth.
