Aerial image shows the result of an airborne radioactive survey over an area of 940 square miles in Apache County, Arizona with the approximate location of radioactivity anomalies found. Text describes methods used and discusses the anomalies.

This report was formed after the study of the Nevada Test Site to examine parts of the thick miogeosynclinical section of the Paleozoic rocks and post-Paleozoic structural features for the sole purpose of determining the walking stops for future field trips to the test site.

The following report presents data from the exploration progress of central Nevada.

From introduction: "This report was compiled to bring together the well data collected by the U.S. Geological Survey since 1960. This compilation includes data on 63 wells and test holes which were drilled since the Moore reports were prepared, or which were deepened or otherwise modified since 1960."

Summary: The Lost Creek schroeckingerite deposit in Sweetwater County, Wyo., has attracted attention in the past both as an occurrence of comparatively rare minerals and more recently as a possible source of uranium ore. During the summer of 1948 a newly-formed company by the name of Uranium, Inc., explored part of the deposit by bulldozer trenching and drilling. under the technical direction of the Minerals Engineering Company of Grand Junction, Colo. Examination of the significant exposures of the schroeckingerite deposit indicated that the uraniferous beds are discontinuous and that their areal distribution is erratic. The overburden has an average thickness of 2.5 feet.
