Letter from J. C. Peckarsky to Eleanor Brown in reply to Brown's letter to the President concerning veterans' benefits for members of the WASPs. He states that the Department of Defense alone has the authority to determine active duty status. He notes that if the WASPs' are ever awarded veterans' status, the Veterans Administration "will immediately carry out the provisions of the law."
