Letter from Truett Latimer to B. P. Youngquist discussing House Bill 26, which contains a flexible rating law, and several other pieces of unnamed legislation. Latimer writes that H.B. 26 was referred to the Committee on Insurance, of which he is a member, but that he has not yet read it. Latimer also explains that a permit from the State Board of Water Engineers is required to impound more than 200 acre feet of water from a stream that is not state property, but that he would be happy to help Youngquist secure such a permit. Finally, Latimer mentions teachers' request for a pay raise of $569 per year for teachers with five or more years experience. Although legislators will not be able to give teachers the full amount requested, Latimer writes they will receive a considerable raise.
