Kempner discussing the Kempners driving to Lake Placid rather than taking a train or taxi but informing Kempner that if the car doesn't work out, there will be a taxi sent out. Thompson also discusses Kempner stopping and visiting the Irving Trust Company while he is in New York despite the fact that Thompson won't be there.
