Mechanical refrigeration is used in the cooling units, and potatoes are cooled to a temperature of from 42 to 46 degress Fahrenheit. Cars are later iced in transit."

Soil splashed was 21,824 lbs. per acre, detachability 27% of standard sand. Water retained on plot during 20 minute test was 0. 95 in. , 47% water lost 1. 07 in. , 55%.
