Letter from Harold Langrill to his wife describing the daily army training activities and how many of the other trainees have passed out from exhaustion or from all of the vaccines that they have received. He also discusses finances and medication that he received for bed bug bites and a cold. It is written on Camp Wolters stationery that has a large color image of a lake and trees at the top of the first page and small text at the bottom about the Camp.

Interview with Jake Guiles, a Army Air Corps WWII veteran and POW from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Guiles discusses joining the service, training, being stationed at Nichols Field in the Philippines, the Japanese invasion and American retreat to Bataan, fighting as infantry, surrender at Marivales, the Bataan Death March, experiences in internment at Camp O'Donnell and Cabantuan, transit to Japan, internment at Hitachi mining camp, liberation, and reflections. In appendix is a notebook kept by Guiles, containing names of fellow prisoners, a self-made Japanese dictionary, a diary, and other recordings.

Churchill recently said that victory was getting closer, and Willis hopes that he will be home this year or the next spring. A boy from a ranch in Texas spent the night with Willis. He also received a long letter from a friend, Joe S. Lattimore, who said that medical school was difficult.
