Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "Time and a street improvement program have cured a lot of ailments on rough city streets. On July 17, 1951, Oklahoma City Times reporters made a survey of city streets, using a home-made but semi-scientific bumpometer. The bumpometer recorded bumps on city streets and the graph at the bottom of the photo shows what they found on N Broadway between NW 4 and NW 10. Friday, the Times borrowed the fire department's 100-foot aerial ladder truck and photographer shows what the street looks like since the resurfacing. The street is now as smooth as a baby's cheek. The picture was made looking north from NW 6."
