Photograph of a part of a 23 acre first year lovegrass seed increases planting on Class 1 land. Grass made a good stand in spite of Johnson grass competition. Three crops of Johnson grass were cut this year and lovegrass has just been cultivated. Seed will be sold to cooperators in the district. OK-8932.

Photograph of sorghum planted for non-competitive cover in preparation for seeding to side oats grama that will be drilled in the early spring [of 1945]. Sorghum was planted after harvesting small grains. Sideoats grama will be sown with native grass seed drilled in 36 inch rows and cultivated for seed production.
