On the back of the postcard, the sender has left a handwritten message that says, "I don't suppose you will recognize who I am? We have had three fires since 8:48 (sent 17) last night + 2 'o clock (sent 18) today. I hope you are well [...]"

The fire fighters are dressed in black uniforms and hats, and are aboard three horse-drawn vehicles. One fire fighter is standing in front of the leftmost vehicle, with a dog on his right. The back of the postcard has a handwritten message that says, "Many thanks, pretty card, call again."

Postcard from N. M. Wood to George Pendexter concerning the fire department photo collection that he has; Wood mentions that he has over 30,000 photos from all over the world. He notes that the photograph on the reverse side is of the Ottawa Fire Department in Ottawa, Canada. The photograph shows three firemen of Engine Co. 4 standing with their steamer engine in the snow in front of the fire station; the engine has wheels cut in half to act as skis in the snow.

Postcard from L. H. Wood to George Pendexter with a note on the back that reads: "I send you this card to see if you have forgotten [sic] me of the L. A. F. D." The photograph on the reverse side shows a steamer engine parked in the middle of a large crowd of people.

Postcard from Geo. Greaves to Mayme Collins in Waco, Texas with an illustration of a woman with red hair, a large white hat, and a low-cut dress. There is a note on the front as well that reads: "I swear I'm going out and drown myself in [] if you don't write."

Postcard addressed to Mamie Collins in Central City, Nebraska with a photograph of a man holding a woman close while they both hold onto the handle of an umbrella; there are music notes and lyrics printed at the bottom that read: "Dreaming of you always little girl my darling." There is a note on the reverse side of the card written in red ink that says: "Well I want a little loving now and then if that loving one is you!"

Postcard of Spring Lake Park Swimming Pool in Waco Texas. A handwritten note on the back of the postcard says "Dear Mother, We are having nice weather. I am feeling all right. Have been in Hamilton since arriving in Texas. Will be traveling around some next week. Sam."

Postcard to Mrs. Tillie (Matilda Hut-McCoy) Collins in Waco, Texas from her cousin, Emma during Christmas 1907. The picture on the front of the card shows a young child blowing a bugle with a golden horseshoe acting as a border and greenery all around it. There is a note on the back of the card also that reads: "With Best Wishes from all. Let us hear from you, yours Emma."
