Perry expresses his appreciation for the support of the Abilene Club and promotes his idea for sub-dividing Texas into four Districts creating four District Governors in order to reduce the burden on one District Governor thus enabling Lionism in Texas to grow and serve.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Omar Burleson, House of Representatives, Washington, D. C., dated January 19, 1950. Burleson acknowledges his receipt of the telegram from Carswell and expresses his appreciation for Carswell wiring with reference to HR 133. He assures Carswell of his support of the proposition to restore the authority of the Rules Committee as provided by this action, that it will be a close vote. Burleson writes in a postscript that he will write, again, relative to questions Carswell mentioned in the poll submitted by Burleson.

Letter from M. T. Harrington to Truett Latimer discussing a proposed feed law, which Latimer has agreed to co-sponsor, and which would develop an enforcement system to protect purchasers of feed and aid manufacturers and distributors in conducting more effective services. Harrington writes that the law was developed with the input from nearly every organization in Texas concerned with the manufacture, distribution, and consumption of feed, including staff members from the Agricultural Experiment Station and Agricultural Extension Service, and that it has the support of the Texas A&M Board of Directors, who would be responsible for the administration of the Feed Control Services under the new law.
