Patent for a new and improved vapor burner. This design consists, "with the mixing-chamber having a burner connected therewith, of a water chamber and an oil chamber arranged beneath the said mixing chamber, the threaded tube seated in the bottom wall of the water-chamber and extending up into the mixing-chamber, and the air-induction tube leading from beneath the oil-chamber up through the threaded connecting-tube to the mixing chamber" (lines 112-121).

Patent for a new and improved toy. This design consists in "a pedestal or support and mount[ed] on the upper end thereof a vertically disposed rod having its upper end tapered or reduced, so as to afford the least possible friction to the whirling figure mounted thereon" (lines 16-21). In practice, "the toy is placed in a position to be struck by wind, and as the same comes in contact with the blades the object will simultaneously be whirled upon the rod and its arms move rapidly around its shoulders, thereby affording amusement" (lines 54-59).
