It is "composed of a sheet-metal plate bent upon itself to form a loop and having an integral arm extending from the upper edge of the loop out of the plane thereof and having its free end concaved" (lines 93-97).

Patent for an improved combined automatic vending and money changing machine. It has "a locking mechanism constructed to lock said article and change-delivery mechanisms when a coin inserted by a purchaser is of less value than the article desired by him, and [a] mechanism for unlocking both of said delivery mechanisms while the purchaser's said coin remains in the machine and adjusting bot of said delivery-mechanisms to thereafter deliver an article corresponding to the value of said coin" (line 1-10).

Patent for device for easily picking up leaves from a lawn. The device consists basically of spikes mounted on a wheel that pick up leaves when the machine is run over a lawn and then are deposited in a recipticle.

Patent for a well-drilling apparatus for boring Artesian and other wells. It is meant to "provide simple, efficient, and durable means for expanding or spreading the reamer-blades after the bit-carrying devices have been lowered sufficiently to arrange the reamer-blades below the plane of the lower end of the tubular drill-rod" (lines 10-17). Water pressure is also used to remove the cuttings from the boring-blades. Sections of cable that suspend and lower drill-bit carrying parts into the drill-rod are supported, and sections of drill-rod can be attached and added to the drill-rod. The method of securing the reamer-blades to the reamer-stock is improved with this patent. The parts fit snugly together and prevent water from getting into the drill-rod.

Patent for a mail-bag meant to "provide such bags or pouches with a secure, efficient, and durable fastening for the mouth which can be easily and quickly opened and closed" (lines 13-16).
