Prince suggests that Morales contact Cooke and inquire about the possibility of Cooke withdrawing his application. Prince cautions Morales not to offer Cooke money to withdraw or to reimburse him for expenses. The letter also contains a brief summary of the application filed by Cooke for a radio station in Houston, Texas on April 15, 1949.

Letter from D. F. Prince in Washington, D.C., to Felix H. Morales in Houston, Texas. Prince informes Morales that the Commission is pending a decision on daytime grants for channel frequencies. Prince also notes that after the Commission has made a decision, the Morales application will be one of the first to be processed.

Letter from John J. Herrera to Gus C. Garcia, about the LULAC scholarship fiesta to be held on May 25th. Herrera asks Garcia to speak at the event on the topic of "Education for Latin Americans in Texas." Herrera says that Garcia's presence will greatly help to draw crowds and thus raise money to help for scholarships for the young generation of Latino Americans.

Letter from C.V. "Buster" Kern to John J. Herrera. Kern writes that he appreciates the radio talks by Herrera made in support of Kern during the recent campaign for the Sheriff's office. Personal note written at the bottom of the letter to John J. Herrera: "Sorry you didn't get to the birthday party. Hope to see you soon, Johnny."

Loggins, Registrar of South Texas College of Law in Houston, who was mentioned in a letter to Mr. Herrera from Pete Tijerina of Laredo, Texas dated December 1, 1947. This partial letter is possibly a reply to Pete Tijerina from John Herrera.
