He also expresses appreciation that Dr. Scofield informed the newspaper that Dr. May Owen served as President of the Texas Medical Association from 1960-1961.

She asks Dr. Owen to check a write-up she is sending to the publication.

They encourage her to work with her nominator, Robert G. Mickey, to resubmit the next year, and inform her that her application made it to the finalist group.
