Text written across the bottom and along the side of the front of the card reads: "I am reading the book Melody but it is not like this at all. Lill. E." Text in the upper left-hand corner of the card reads: "Thank you for the cute postal so much" The card is addressed to Miss Ellen Forsgard of Waco, Texas.

Postcard of a woman standing with baskets full of cotton in a cotton field. Handwritten text on the card reads: " I made a mistake in names, it should have been E[. . .] instead of Grost. Thus I will reach you before you write them. B[. . .] see what made me make such a mistake L[. . .] May." The card is addressed to Mrs. M. Linus H[. . .]" of Oakland, California.
