Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "Force of firehose is puny compared to furious fire. Firemen fought valiantly, although more than 20 of them were overcome by smoke or heat, Wednesday afternoon keeping the $675,000 fire at Oklahoma City University from becoming worse. Three buildings were destroyed after the blaze started in the basement of the student union building. Students joined with the firemen to cut the loss as much as possible, hauling school equipment from buildings in the path of the flames. School officials say it may take $1 millions to replace the lost buildings and equipment. Students, barely able to stand the intense heat, moved in on parked autos near the fire and pushed them to a safe distance."
