The native grass has sufficient regrowth to regain vigor and make seed to be used elsewhere. If top growth is a problem for next year's crop, SCS technicians recommend cutting dead growth in late winter with a rotary mower. This puts mulch on the ground and aids to keep soil and moisture losses low. OK-1482-10.
