Maisel expresses his confidence in the advice he receives from Carswell and requests that Division Commanders write a monthly editorial for the Texas Legion News advising of the details and deadlines.

A letter addressed to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from C. V. Taylert, Asst. to Treasurer, Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, dated September 16, 1942. Taylert replies to the letter from Carswell dated September 10th in which he requests to pay bills as they accrue. Taylert outlines a method of payment which Cornell will accept. Copy to Mrs. Anna F. Monk expresses his regret that the original letter with names for the committees got lost. He confirms a meeting, scheduled for that night, to be held to boost the lagging membership in Kerrville.
