Williams writes that he supports the bill and that Reed MacDonald, head of the Feed Control Service, is working with his organization so that they will be able to put the new provisions into effect was the law is enacted.

Nichols asks Ratliff to support the bill, which he writes is necessary for the survival of the Independent Retail Grocers, and warns that if unfair pricing puts them out of business Texans would have to trade with larger chains and pay more for merchandise.
