Letter from Albert Sydney Burleson to Dr. Joseph Pound concerning Pound's wish for an increase in pensions; Burleson tells him to bring himself "within the same category of those who have heretofore been granted increases" and there will be no problem obtaining an increase. At the end of the letter he tells the doctor not to have his secretary speak for him as "she is not very popular with the members" of the respective committee.

[Letter to Captain Charles R. Griggs from his Parents, March 15, 1945]

Letter to Charles R. Griggs from his parents wishing him a happy Easter while he is overseas. The bulk of the letter discusses daily life back home in Texas, including their work on the house and yard; at the end they ask Charles to send them the address of a boy in his company that is without parents as they would "like to be mother and dad to him." The back of the letter has a quote that reads: "My Easter prayer for you is this: That you may have a goodly part Of all the beauty of the day - Its joy, its hope, its peace of heart!"

Letter written to Josephine Bahl from John K. Strecker, Jr. in Waco, Texas. Strecker, Jr. says that he had just received "a beautiful lot of foreign birds skins and also a snow-white weasel skin." He goes on to describe the dance party that had recently took place and was amazed that they only had one keg of beer available.
