Caption: "Wilbert Rogalsky, 18, of 2437 NW 41, who tumbled 72 feet off Turner Falls Sunday afternoon, was reported resting comfortably Tuesday in Hardy sanitarium in Ardmore. Hospital attendants said Rogalsky told them he climbed to the top of the falls, lost his footing and slipped. He twisted his body as he fell to avoid striking a man below and landed in the water. He was dragged from the water by a group of friends and his brother, Ed, and taken to the hospital. He is suffering from a possible brain concussion and multiple abrasions on the left side of his body. A number of persons have fallen from the falls in recent years. Jody Brantley, 17, Geary, fell in June, 1946, and suffered a mild fracture of one vertebra. Hospital attendants in Ardmore said Tuesday they remembered several persons who have tumbled in recent years. It is approximatley 72 feet down where Rogalsky fell. he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Rogalsky."

Photograph of Edgar Landrum standing in front of a gully in natural draw. The back of the photograph proclaims, "Gully in natural draw. Banks were sloped and channel solid sodded to Bermuda in spring of 1941. Drainage area from cultivated field approx. 60 A. Mr. Landrum (in photograph) says this gully was very active and threatening his cultivated land but since establishment of Bermuda erosion has been practically stabilized."
