Photograph of two UNIDENTIFED men standing on the bank of a new drainage ditch constructed with a dragline, spoils bank spread with a bulldozer, and fields planted with white Dutch clover, oats, and singletary peas. The back of the photograph proclaims, "New drainage ditch constructed with dragline in August 1944, Spoil banks were spread with bulldozer. Singleton enclosing a letter from Senator Stone, listing doctors who sent telegrams supporting a particular location for something unspecified, presumably related to a state matter. He advises Dr. Singleton to contact these doctors and encourage them to reach out to their respective state senators. He mentions a strategy to influence senators who are undecided or against the favored location by using telegrams sent by other doctors who support Galveston, thus attempting to sway their opinion.
