He advises that they should not let up until all denominations believing like they do follow suit. He expresses his discouragement that the progress made in San Angelo is set back but his work will be taking him into the field soon which will allow him to do more.

He expresses his appreciation of their friendship and for Coombes' legal ability noting his regret that Coombes had not yet been elevated to a high court appointment. He extends the Season's Greetings to him and Mrs. Coombes from Mrs. Carswell and himself.
