Under the technical assistance program up to 100 man hours of consultation can be provided, at no cost, to private, public, or corporate entities intending the direct utilization of geothermal energy. Application areas include but are not limited to, space heating and cooling, district heating, aquaculture, food production and processing, drying, chemical and pharmaceutical processes, animal husbandry, etc. Assistance is given primarily for projects in the Pacific Region states of Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, and Hawaii.
