It would seem that the City Manager and members of its staff made concerted efforts to undermine urban development, community centers, and other services that would have been beneficial to San Antonio's marginalized ethnic communities.

She writes to both to inform them of edits that have been made to a manuscript titled Myth, Magic, and Farce. The manuscript is a collection of plays by Houston, a prominent San Antonio playwright. DeVinney goes on to talk about other stages that need to be met before publication.

Letter from Margaret Winn and Vernis Hudgins to Jean Paul Geraud thanking him for hosting the the San Antonio chapter of The Links, Inc. at the Gunter Hotel for their 25th Anniversary Celebration. Although the service was good and the food was delicious, the chapter was disappointed that he did not consult with them about the choice of a dessert. It was understood that the dessert should prominently feature the Links' colors of green and white, but it did not. Also, the staff did not receive instructions for preparing the ballroom in a timely manner. The chapter would like an explanation and apology for these oversights.
