Fifty-five educators were learning a new language of assessment, and the new assessments for teachers and students were pioneered in Connecticut. Connecticut introduces what is said to be the nation's most rigorous assessment of entry-level teachers. The assessment will be administered, six times a year, to new teachers. The implementation is a new form of measuring how teachers perform the complex tasks of their profession.
