A letter with envelope and attachments from F. A. Talley, minister at the Santa Cruz Church of Christ, to Blanche Perry thanking her for the painting. Included is a copy of his sermon inaugurating the painting which he says was based on Perry's own interpretation.

Series of letters, plus envelope, mailed together from E.N. McCoy as minister of the Church of Christ in Borger, TX to Blanche Perry. First letter confirms receipt of the painting and its installation on the church baptistry wall. Second letter is addressed to the leaders at the Sherman Street Church of Christ to transmit a check for $200 to the Belgian ministry in appreciation of Perry's painting (November 15, 1950). Third enclosure is a copy of explanatory text given to the Borger congregation regarding the Perry painting. It gives brief background of Perry and short discussion of symbolism in the painting. Symbols mentioned include mountains, sky, snow, sunbeams, light, rocks, flowers, birds. All letters are on church letterhead.

Issue of the St. John Daily Capital dated April 13, 1949, volume 62, number 59. Two articles specifically mention the Church and the baptistry painting. Article "Will Hold Formal Opening Sunday" shows photograph of the Church of Christ building exterior with details of the opening services. "Church of Christ Receives Oil Painting as Gift From Artist" describes the painting and its symbolism.
