[Postcard from Mrs. Davis to Miss Sandy Davis, July 13, 1956]

Postcard from Mrs. Davis to her daughter, Sandy Davis, writing to say Sandy's father brought back fish like the one on the front of the postcard from his trip, and that they will be attending an aunt's funeral in town. The front of the postcard features an altered, novelty photograph of a large fish on a flat bed truck. The truck is parked in the driveway in front of a tall, wood-sided building (partially visible to the left). The bottom of the front of the postcard reads, "Had a hard time landing this one!"

Postcard from Sally to Miss Sandy Davis, writing to let her know that "the boys" are home and asking when Miss Davis is coming home. The front of the postcard features a photograph of a young woman standing in the middle of a cavern with high ceilings, and many stalactites and stalagmites. The young woman is standing between two tall rock formations, leaning with her right elbow against one of them. The cave extends further back, but the rest of it is hidden by rock formations.

Postcard depicting the pool of the Atami Hotel. The text "Atami Hotel Atami Hot Springs" is printed on the front. The correspondence is addressed to Mrs. E.A. Wakeham and postmarked July 14, 1952. The correspondence reads, "Dear Mother, Same place but in new [...] pool and play ground. I [...] you would love it there - looks a great deal like our coast could [...] only the weather isn't very good - Hot and rains on a moments notice. Received my dresses from [...] - like the[...]. Will write later. [...] B."

[Atami Hotel Postcard]

Postcard addressed to Mrs. E.A. Wakeham from her daughter. The image on the postcard is of the Atami Hotel and "Atami Hotel, Atami Hot Springs" is printed on the front along with some Japanese characters. The correspondence on the back reads "Dearest Mother - We spent a wonderful three days at this hotel. We were able to get European style rooms for two nights. One night we stayed was in Japanese style - was [...] experience - sleeping on the floor and wearing no shoes in the room. Beautiful [scenery] and etc. [...]"

Postcard from Tom Puente to John Herrera dated August 13, 1955 and postmarked Chicago, Illinois. The front of the postcard is a color illustration of a cowboy on a horse looking at at a woman walking away. The text above reads: "Reckon yer new in these parts Lady - ya oughta wear somethin' under them chaps!" The back of the postcard has the handwritten message, "Hello Johnnie, Sorry I didn't get to see you again while I was here in Houston. Hope to see you next year. Regards to all our friends for me. P.S. Rusty havn't wretten to me for a while, 1642 E 53rd St. Apt. 304, Tom Puente."
