This way the committee would have more to consider in their deliberations.

Photocopy of a letter from Vicki Rosenberg, the Getty Center, to Jack Davis and Bill McCarter, co-directors of NTIEVA, in regards to their fiscal year of 1995, FY95, funding for North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. Rosenberg states that the funding has been sent to Harold Williams, president of the J. Paul Getty Trust, for review yet being unaware of his schedule she cannot give them a specific notification date of the funding approvals or deny. Rosenberg thanks Davis and McCarter for the informative progress report and has made a series of comments and questions that she would like answered and returned no later than September 1, 1994.

The memo is in regards to a confirmation of the number of funders attending the January 12, 1995 Funders' Dinner by October 21, 1994. Because of the low response, Abel requests that the directors follow up with the funders from each institute who have not yet replied. Attached to the memo is a RSVP list.

A newspaper clipping featuring an article on a collaboration between local universities, community colleges and Denton ISD which allows undergraduate students to teach at local schools yet the district is looking for even more opportunities to collaborate. Six local elementary schools and a high-school are working with the University of North Texas Center for Professional Development and Technology students to develop technology that provides advance education. Another collaborative effort involves North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, a two-week program that trains educators to incorporation art education into the daily curriculum.
