Interview with Joel Walker, an employee of the Home Owners' Loan Association from Marietta, Oklahoma. Walker worked for the HOLA in Dallas during the Great Depression; he discusses working at a bank in Roswell, New Mexico, unemployment, hiring with HOLA in Dallas, how the Association operated, loan terms, mortgages, and foreclosures.

Interview with Albert Boggs, a former member of the Civilian Conservation Corps from Mixon, Oklahoma. Boggs discusses his family life, farming, struggles during the Depression, joining the CCC, his first assignment to a camp at Jacksonville, TX, education, camp life and organization, work, fights in camp, transfer to a camp in Waxahachie, being an assistant leader, building bridges, the kinds of people who worked the camp, and some general reflections. In appendix are Boggs' discharge papers and a newsletter commemorating CCC veterans.

Interview with Lloyd Pearson, a former member of the Civilian Conservation Corps from Denver, Colorado. Pearson discusses: growing up with his family during the Depression; joining the CCC and his assignment in South Fork, Colorado; quality of life at the camp; projects worked; the establishment of "side camps;" recreation, leave, and policies of the CCC.

Interview with Garfield Thompson, a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps from Fort Worth, Texas. Thompson discusses his family background and education, the effects of the Great Depression, Republicans, the New Deal, joining the CCC and assignment to Company 812 in Cache, Oklahoma, the layout of the camp, projects worked, routine, recreation and leave, discharge, and reflections on the program.

Interview with Korean War veteran Marvin Dunn as part of the Tarrant County War Veterans Oral History Project. The interview includes Dunn's personal experiences about boot camp and training, combat in Korea, combat at Hill 749 and Hill 884, and of being a teacher, principal, and administrator in Dallas ISD. Additionally, Dunn discusses his decision to drop out of college to join the U.S. Marine Corps, his assignment to combat unit, the battlefield injury at "the Punchbowl," that resulted in his leg amputation, the following recuperation, his opinions regarding enemy soldiers and what the U.S. accomplished in the war, civilian opinions of the war, struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder, returning to college and graduate school, and his involvement with Korean War Veterans Organization. The interview also includes an appendix with photographs.

Interview with John Bateman concerning his recollections of the Crater of Diamonds and diamond mining near Murfreesboro, Arkansas from 1930 to 1950. Appendix includes 2 maps: a "Geologic Map of the Prairie Creek Area of Peridotite in T. 8 S., R. 25 W., 2 1/2 Miles South-Southeast of Murfreesboro, Pike County, Ark." and a map showing the locations of various landmarks in the Crater of Diamonds State Park area.

Interview with Herbert Hughes concerning his experiences before, during, and after his employment in the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression. Hughes worked at camps in Tucson, Arizona (Company 2852); Dublin, Texas (Company 3810); and Monument, Colorado (Company 3810).

Interview with schoolteacher A. Tennyson Miller from Denton, Texas. In the interview, Miller reflects on his experiences as a teacher and coach at the Fredrick Douglass School during the late 1930's and early 1940's, which was before the school was integrated. He comments on Principal Fred Moore and segregated education in Denton. Tennyson also discusses his admission to the doctoral program at North Texas State College, which broke racial barriers in 1954.
